In 2005, Explorer joined the family of eight charter schools managed by High Tech High Learning (HTHL).

The High Tech High middle and high schools are small charter schools which are founded on diversity, personalization, project-based learning, internships, and high standards for all students

As a member of the High Tech High Learning family, Explorer has access to administrative services such as legal, accounting, and information technology, as well as bulk prices in purchasing supplies and insurance. In addition, all member schools have reciprocity in admissions, so that students from each member school will have preference in transferring or matriculating to another school within the network.

Explorer participates in HTH institutes for educators which help to spread Explorer’s best practices to schools nationally and internationally. Explorer faculty members participate in the HTH Graduate School of Education and credentialing programs and contribute to unBoxed, the HTH Graduate School of Education Journal of Adult Learning in Schools.
