Partnership with High Tech High Community

In 2005, Explorer joined the family of charter schools managed by High Tech High Learning (HTHL). HTHL currently operates two middle schools and three high schools in San Diego and is planning to open several more middle and high schools in the near future.

The High Tech High middle and high schools are small charter schools (about 300-400 students each) which are founded on diversity, personalization, project-based learning, internships, and high standards for all students (www.hightechhigh.org).

As a member of the HTHL family, Explorer will have access to administrative services such as legal, accounting, and information technology, as well as bulk prices in purchasing supplies and insurance. In addition, all member schools have reciprocity in admissions, so that students from each member school will have preference in transferring or matriculating to another school within the network.
