Airlines Goes To Antarctica
The kindergarteners in Rooms 3 and 4 have been studying different types
of weather and geography. As a conclusion to this unit they took a trip
to Antarctica for the day. Bundled in their warmest clothes, and packed
with their imaginations, they boarded the airplane while real-life pilot
Wally Galland collected boarding passes and stamped passports. On board
Explorer Airlines the children learned various facts about the continent
they were going to be visiting.
While in Antarctica the students measured penguins, wrote postcards to their
parents, made the Antarctica food chains, and even had fishy treats. During
the trip home, they experienced as blizzard and got a littler wet taking
a closer look at the waves along the San Diego coastline. Overall, a great
time was had by all, and they can’t wait for their next adventure.
